The Austin-Healey 3000 was Britain's great rally car of the early 1960s — thunderous, beautiful, and almost absurdly effective on the roughest roads in Europe.

The works team, run by Donald and Geoffrey Healey from Warwick, campaigned the 3000 across the toughest rallies of the era: multiple class wins on the Monte Carlo Rally, three outright victories on the Alpine Rally, and a string of results that made the Big Healey one of the most feared competition cars of its generation. Most remarkably, in 1960 Pat Moss — Stirling Moss's sister — drove a 3000 to outright victory on the Liège–Rome–Liège Rally, one of the most gruelling events in the calendar and one of the greatest drives in the history of the sport.

The Mk III, produced from 1963 to 1968, was the definitive version: 150bhp, 120mph, twin carburettors, and a exhaust note that announced its presence long before it came into view. Built at Longbridge and bodied by Jensen in West Bromwich — unambiguously, gloriously British.
