The Brighton Belle ran from 1 January 1933 until 30 April 1972
The service initially started in January 1933 under the name "Southern Belle" when the Southern Railway introduced its new electric all-Pullman service, and then was renamed the Brighton Belle on 29 June 1934 , it was an all Pullman service beloved of the acting community living in Brighton at the time
